Not even professional investors can understand everything about the internal workings of the companies they cover, observes Sacha Sadan, senior investment manager at Gartmore. As a result, investors need CFOs to be able to break down complex data and provide them with simple explanations of what is going on.
Sadan goes on to discuss the kinds of meetings he prefers. He says, on occasion, group meetings can be as helpful as one-one-ones as they give investors the chance to hear a number of different perspectives on a single company.
