Newly listed Kosmos Energy has brought in Brad Whitmarsh as the oil and gas company’s vice president of investor relations.
Kosmos, which focuses on underexplored regions in Africa, began trading on the NYSE in May after raising $594 mn in an initial public offering.
In his new role, Whitmarsh will report to W Greg Dunlevy, Kosmos’ CFO.
‘We are excited to have Brad join our growing Kosmos team,’ comments Dunlevy in a statement.
‘His knowledge of the oil and gas industry, along with his proven success in establishing key relationships with the investment community, will be extremely beneficial as we build our investor relations program.’
Before his move to Kosmos, Whitmarsh held the role of manager of IR at Noble Energy.
He is a certified public accountant and has a degree in business administration from Texas A&M University.
