Two new hires at Lundin Petroleum

Lundin Petroleum, the Swedish independent oil and gas company, has announced two new hires for its management team.

Teitur Poulsen has been appointed vice president of corporate planning and investor relations, starting this September.

Prior to this he served as chief financial officer at Norwegian independent oil producer Det Norske Oljeselskap between October 2010-May 2012.

This is the second time Poulsen joins Lundin Petroleum. He was first hired by the company as an economist in 2006 and was promoted shortly after to economics and corporate planning manager.

Poulsen is a business graduate from the University of Aberdeen and started his career as an economist at Dana Petroleum, moving on to similar roles at Aupec and Faroe Petroleum.

The newly created role of media communications manager will be filled by Robert Eriksson, a former business reporter who was the US correspondent for Swedish newspaper Finanstidningen from 2000-2001.

A graduate from the Stockholm School of Economics, Eriksson has been working in various communications roles for the Lundin group since 2003. He was recently the investor relations manager for Vostok Nafta, a holding company focussing on Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Lundin Petroleum is part of the Lundin group, created thirty years ago by Adolf Lundin, an entrepreneur who gained recognition in 1998 by being named ‘International Swede of the year’ by King Carl Gustav of Sweden.

The company has assets in nine countries across Europe, South East Asia and Africa, with proven and probable reserves of 211 mn barrels of oil.
