Vienna-based commercial real estate firm CA Immo has brought in Christoph Thurnberger to lead the IR team after his predecessor Florian Nowotny took the position of chief financial officer in October last year.

The 31-year-old brings a ‘wealth of experience’ from his prior work as an investment banker in a number of areas, including real estate, says CA Immo in a press release. He joins the company from Raiffeisen Centrobank in Vienna, where he worked as an equity analyst since September 2010, most recently covering the property sector.
Thurnberger holds a degree in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He also boasts further study at Université Paris Dauphine and the University of California, Berkeley.

‘Alongside typical investor relations duties, Thurnberger will oversee activities relating to capital markets while supporting and advising the management board of CA Immo as regards the strategic positioning of the company,’ he adds.
CA Immo, which was founded in 1987, is a constituent of the Vienna Stock Exchange’s ATX index and specializes in ‘the letting and development of commercial real estate, especially in the office segment.’ The firm currently controls property assets of around € 5.3 bn ($7 bn) across Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe.
