Calgary-based ARC Resources won best IR in the energy sector at this year’s IR Magazine Awards – Canada. David Carey, senior vice president, capital markets, won best investor relations officer (mid-cap) and was presented with a lifetime achievement award.
In this backstage interview, Carey talks about doing photo blogs and new types of quarterly videos, including Myron’s Minute, featuring ARC’s new CEO, Myron Stadnyk, who was nominated for best IR by a CEO (mid-cap).
Carey also looks back at his career, from starting out as a geophysicist in Canada’s oil patch to the last third of his career as an IRO, helping ARC grow from a $180 million IPO to the $10 bn component of the S&P/TSX 60 that it is today.
