State senator to lead IR at Hall Capital

US investment firm Hall Capital has turned to the US Senate to find a head for its new investor relations function, the company announced this week, as Oklahoma State Senator David Holt joins the asset management firm.

Holt will lead communications and services for investors throughout Hall’s equity, automotive, real estate and energy ‘investment partnerships’ under the title of director of investor relations.

Fred Hall, managing partner of the family-owned business, says recent successes have seen a steady increase in the size of Hall Capital’s investor base. ‘I came to recognize that Hall Capital should initiate an office of investor relations to build on the momentum we have created from investing in small to medium-sized companies,’ he explains in a press release detailing the changes.

Holt’s public career includes working with former US president George W Bush, as well as Dennis Hastert, previously Speaker of the House. Prior to his election to the Senate in 2010, Holt worked in the administration of then Lt Governor Mary Fallin and as Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett’s long-standing chief of staff. His recent run for a second term as state senator was unopposed.

‘[David’s] broad and diversified background in law, business and public service makes him well suited and qualified for this new position,’ writes Hall. ‘David is well respected locally as well as nationally, and I am pleased he has agreed to join our growing firm to provide leadership for our newly established IR group.’

‘I’ve been privileged to work with the Hall family for the past several years on civic initiatives while watching the tremendous growth of the family’s investment business,’ says Holt, speaking about his new role. ‘I am honored to join this dynamic company and accomplished team and look forward to supporting our investors.’

Wendy House, vice president of the Fred Jones Family Foundation – a charity dedicated to improving Oklahoma through cultural growth and beautification, run by the Hall family ‒ is also to join the new division as associate director. In the same press release, Hall praises House’s ‘impressive communications, organizational and administrative abilities’, and hopes she will serve the firm’s investors well.
