And we’re off. The polling has begun for the IR Magazine Awards – Asia 2015. Across the region, portfolio managers, buy-side analysts and sell-side analysts have started voting for their favorite IR teams and IR officers.
For those of you who are unsure, here is a quick recap about how the awards work. The first step sees an electronic awards survey sent out to investors and analysts who cover equities markets in Asia. This year we have expanded our contact list to more than 30,000 investment professionals using databases from Ipreo, NASDAQ and IR Magazine.
The respondents are asked to name the companies and individuals they think are the best at IR across a range of categories. Importantly, companies cannot nominate themselves for awards. Any company listed on a market in Asia is eligible to receive a vote.
We then conduct phone interviews to make sure all the award categories have a sufficient number of votes. After that, the results are tallied and the companies and IR professionals with the most points win the awards – it’s as simple as that.
Any investor or sell-side analyst who is based somewhere in Asia and covers Asian companies is eligible to vote.
