CST names new president and CEO

Canadian shareholder services firm CST has appointed Margot Jordan as president and CEO.

Jordan had been holding the top job in an interim capacity since September 2015, following the departure of CEO of two years Laurel Savoy. She had joined the Toronto-headquartered company a few months earlier as executive vice president of business development and strategy.

‘Margot has a proven track record for leading teams that result in profitable growth and client satisfaction,’ says Brian Longe, CST Trust Company’s chairman, in a company statement. ‘With her extensive knowledge of the business and keen focus on service excellence, CST will excel under Margot’s leadership.’

A fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers, Jordan previously spent 12 years at Computershare, most recently serving as senior vice president of investor services.

‘CST is uniquely positioned to be the leading player in this industry,’ says Jordan in the release. ‘I am excited to be a part of this dynamic organization and [help] continue to build on its strong foundation.’
