IR Magazine is introducing a new accolade to be given out at its upcoming US Awards. The people’s choice award for innovation, whose recipient will be chosen by popular vote, aims to recognize a company that has made an outstanding contribution to the practice of IR and the community of IR professionals.
‘While the rest of the IR Magazine Awards are determined by an independent survey of analysts and investment professionals, this people’s choice award for innovation will be decided by IROs themselves,’ explains Ewa Karczmarz, IR Magazine’s events producer. ‘IR professionals can nominate contenders by citing any inspiring aspect of their IR program, whether it’s a successful targeting initiative, a website redesign, a new sustainability program or a response to an activist attack, for example.’
Corporates and service providers on behalf of their clients are invited to send in their nominations before February 19, 2016. A panel of judges made up of IR Magazine editorial team members, investment professionals and seasoned IROs will select a short list of eight companies, which will then be submitted to a vote by IR Magazine readers starting on February 26, 2016. The winner will be announced at the IR Magazine Awards – US 2016 in New York on March 31.
