Speakers for the IR Magazine Think Tank – Canada 2016 have been announced. The event, for senior-level IR professionals based in Canada, will take place on October 5, 2016 at Toronto Stock Exchange.
Experts from all areas of the industry will speak on a variety of issues including digital communications with investors and what’s next for investor targeting in Canada.
Speakers include Maeghan Albiston, director of investor relations for Canadian Pacific Railway for almost five years. Albiston has been with the group for more than a decade and was previously a manager, project adviser and capital markets analyst.
Also speaking will be David Hunker, executive director of M&A for JPMorgan, who leads the firm’s shareholder activism defense practice and advises corporate clients on activist investors.
They will be joined by one of Canada’s leading special situation practitioners: Walied Soliman, co-chair of Norton Rose Fulbright’s Canadian special situations team. The team works on Canada’s leading shareholder activist and defense mandates as well as complex reorganization transactions.
