New York-based L3 Technologies has recruited John Kim as vice president of investor relations and analytics. It is the first time the company has had a dedicated IR position.
In his new role, Kim reports to Heidi Wood, senior vice president of strategy and technology, and will also work closely with Ralph D’Ambrosio, senior vice president and CFO. He will lead L3’s engagement with the investment community and support the company’s business analytics and technology platforms.
Kim joined the company is late April, having most recently served as a senior analyst at SAB Capital, before which he was a senior analyst at Ulysses Management. He has spent more than 12 years as an equity research analyst covering the industrial sector, including aerospace and defense.
L3 employs roughly 31,000 people and provides of a range of communication, electronic and sensor systems used on military, homeland security and commercial platforms. L3 is also a contractor in aerospace systems, security and detection systems and pilot training.
‘John brings a wealth of financial and analytical expertise and a deep knowledge of the investment process,’ D’Ambrosio says in a statement. ‘He’s a valuable addition to our team as we accelerate our transformation to L3 3.0.’
