Agnico Eagle Mines and ARC Resources dominate IR Magazine Awards – Canada

Gold mining business Agnico Eagle Mines and oil & gas producer ARC Resources dominated the IR Magazine Awards – Canada, taking away five gongs each.

Agnico Eagle Mines won awards for the best overall investor relations (large cap), best IR by a CEO (large cap) for Sean Boyd, best IR by a CFO (large cap) for David Smith, best investor meetings and best IR in the materials sector.

ARC Resources won best overall investor relations (mid-cap), best investor relations officer (mid-cap) for David Carey, best financial reporting, best use of technology and best IR in the in energy sector.

Best overall investor relations (small cap) went to Aecon Group. The award for best investor relations officer (large cap) went to CN’s Paul Butcher while Aecon Group’s Adam Borgatti took home the best investor relations officer (small cap) trophy.

The award for best IR by a CFO (small & mid-cap) was jointly won by Alamos Gold’s Jamie Porter and Stantec’s Dan Lefaivre.

The newly created people’s choice award for innovation went to Fortis. And Pat Marshall, communications and IR vice president at Cineplex Entertainment, walked away with the lifetime achievement award.

The IR Magazine Awards – Canada remain the Canadian IR community’s largest annual gathering.
