Popular, the Nasdaq-listed financial services group, has appointed Paul Cardillo as its IRO. He reports to Popular’s CFO Carlos Vàzquez.
Prior to joining Popular, Cardillo served as director and financial services specialist of equity sales for Deutsche Bank and prior to that he was senior vice president and financial services specialist of equity trading for New York investment bank Jefferies.
He has also held positions in the finance field at asset management trading tools firm Plia Systems, research firm Sanford Bernstein and investment bank Lehman Brothers.

Cardillo has a BA in psychology from New York-based Vassar College.
