Arise co-founder takes on IR role

Arise Windpower, the Swedish power company, has announced that co-founder Leif Jansson will take over as director of investor relations.

He replaces Bo Rydlinger, who has left the company to run a new business unrelated to the windpower sector.

Jansson is one of the three founders of the company and has been responsible for the development of new sites and acquisitions. He will continue to do this work as well as taking on the new role.

In a smaller company, it’s ‘quite natural that you have more than one assignment to work with,’ says Jansson.

Peter Nygren, Arise’s chief executive, will also be involved in IR communications, he adds.

The biggest task for IR at Arise will be to make clear to investors that the company is maturing and beginning to produce a more stable income stream, Jansson says. ‘It’s not impossible that, as we are ramping up, the interest from foreign investors will increase,’ he notes.

Before Arise, Jansson was business area manager for a decade at IFS, a Swedish company providing enterprise resource planning systems. He holds a degree in business administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.
