After a welcome address from IR Magazine‘s Candice de Monts-Petit and Warsaw Stock Exchange’s Grzegorz Zawada, the conference kicked off with an insightful presentation by Magdalena Polan, senior economist at Goldman Sachs, on ‘CEE investor relations in a changing investment climate’.
Our second session was a panel discussion on the future of equity research and corporate access, moderated by Grzegorz Zawada. The participants were Magdalena Lapsa, equity portfolio manager at PZU Asset Management, Rafal Wiatr, head of Polish research at Citi Handlowy and Dariusz Grebosz, head of IR at PKN Orlen.
After the networking lunch, it was time for the ‘award winning IR’ presentations. Barbara Seidlova from CEZ Group, Dariusz Chorylo from Bank Pekao and Vladimir Zaluzhsky from Severstal revealed the secrets to their successful IR programs.
The last session, moderated by NBS Communications’ president Anna Krajewska, discussed ‘targeting international investors’, with Louise Hedberg, head of corporate governance at Stockholm-headquartered East Capital, Szymon Ozog, head of Polish equities at Espirito Santo Investment Bank, Sandra Novakov, IR consultant at Citigate Dewe Rogerson and Patrick Tobias, senior vice president of European corporate sales at IPREO.
The conference was followed by an awards presentation for Most progress in IR (Top riser through the IR Magazine Rankings 2013-2014 and Highest new entry by a Central or Eastern European company in the IR Magazine Rankings 2014), Best IR by senior management and Best investor relations officer.
