The NYSE has created new tools for its market data platform, which aids investor relations officers at listed companies.
The platform, NYSE Connect, is a financial services platform that consolidates critical information and was created specifically for finance and IR teams.
The latest update will be rolled out in early October. The new tools include real-time data based on best quotes and trades, the ability to add more fields and reports to access more comprehensive prices.
‘We know there is constant pressure on IR budgets and NYSE Connect is one of the ways in which we are adding value,’ says Demetrios Skalkotos, head of desktop solutions for Intercontinental Exchange, owner of the NYSE. ‘By using our data platform, [which allows multiple users to simultaneously use a single account], our listed companies can perhaps replace other providers and potentially save significantly.’
The NYSE also plans to add further enhancements, including tools for trading analysis, shareholder analytics and several other elements.
