Impressive array of companies make up short lists for IR Magazine Awards – India

Several big-hitters among India’s corporates have made the short lists for the IR Magazine Awards – India 2019, as have an array of innovative Indian firms in a variety of sectors. 

The first Indian company to list in London in 2003, metals and mining company Vedanta, is short-listed in the best large-cap IR team and large-cap financial reporting categories. 

Impressively, telecommunications group Bharti Airtel has not one but two of its investor relations professionals listed in the best large-cap IRO category, with head of IR Komal Sharan nominated alongside Aparna Vyas Garg. The company is also short-listed for best large-cap IR team and best large-cap investor meetings. 

Jindal Steel & Power, which recently announced a major contract with Rail Vikas Nigam to supply rail track, bags a nomination for its IRO Nishant Baranwal in the best IRO small to mid-cap category.

Bengaluru-based tech services giant Infosys, which recently set an internal target to nearly double its India revenue in three years, is among four companies nominated for best use of media and technology along with Larsen & Toubro Infotech, Mahindra & Mahindra and the Phoenix Mills. Infosys is also short-listed in the large-cap best financial reporting category.
