IR Magazine has released its 14th annual Global Roadshow Report, a deep dive into corporate roadshow activity around the globe.
The past three editions of this report have examined both in-person and virtual roadshows, and this year’s is no different. Key findings indicate that companies are returning to roadshows in the years following the Covid-19 pandemic, but the numbers holding such an event are still lower than they were in 2019.
IR teams spent longer on the road and enjoyed more attendance from senior management in 2023 than in the previous year. Companies holding in-person roadshows appeared to lean more heavily on brokers once again.
IR Magazine recently spoke with Lorna Davie of the Swiss IR Club about how post-pandemic shifts in corporate access have changed real-world meetings. In that interview, she discusses which meetings should be in person, virtual or hybrid and what all this means for roadshows – and IR-only meeting opportunities.
‘Hybrid has been around for a long time, Covid just accelerated the process,’ she says. ‘One of the things you need to consider when you’re planning your meetings for corporate access is that things have changed and people have now moved out of major financial centers.’
