People moves: New hire at FedEx and a familiar face returns to Grupo ACS

A new IRO has arrived at FedEx this week, as Spanish company Grupo ACS welcomes back a familiar face and Finnish firm Aktia promotes a long-standing employee to head its IR function.

Jenifer Hollander has joined the US logistics company as vice president of investor relations, she now leads the team’s engagement with the investor community and reports to Trampas Gunter, vice president of corporate development and treasurer at the firm.

She joins from Teneo’s strategy and communications advisory practice, where she was responsible for developing and implementing IR and corporate communications strategies for clients around the world. Prior to that, she worked in institutional equity sales at Deutsche Bank for 14 years.

John Dietrich, executive vice president and chief financial officer at FedEx, says he is ‘pleased’ to welcome Hollander to the team. ‘She brings a wealth of experience and a disciplined approach, combining a career of direct engagement with investors and the development of best practices across industries,’ he says in a statement. ‘Jeni joins a talented team that is committed to regular engagement with the investor community.’

In Madrid, Javier Crespo Morales has returned to construction firm Grupo ACS as head of investor relations, after a six-year stint at Natixis Partners Iberia. He previously served in a corporate development role at Grupo ACS, and before that was an investment banking associate at Credit Suisse’s New York and London offices.

Writing on LinkedIn, Crespo Morales says: ‘It has been an absolute pleasure to be part of Natixis Partners Iberia and I will always have a very pleasant memory of these years.’

Elsewhere, Finnish asset manager, bank and life insurer Aktia – which is listed on the Nasdaq Helsinki exchange – has promoted Oscar Taimitarha to the position of director of investor relations.

A veteran of the company with more than 20 years’ experience in various leadership positions, including bank manager and regional director, Taimitarha will start his new role on March 1 and report to Outi Henriksson, Aktia’s CFO and a member of the executive committee.

‘I am delighted to see Oscar Taimitarha take over as director of investor relations at Aktia,’ says Henriksson. ‘Oscar has a deep knowledge of Aktia’s business areas, especially banking, and has a wide network among our stakeholders. I am confident he will bring Aktia’s dialogue with the investor community to the next level.’
