At the IR Magazine Awards – Europe 2024, we caught up with Johan Meyer, CEO of Franklin Templeton Romania.
Meyer talked about some of the things that characterized the Romanian capital markets over the past 12 months, including the IPO of the country’s energy producer Hidroelectrica, which was the largest listing in European markets in 2023.
In terms of IR trends in the region, Meyer talked about the challenges the profession faces, especially at small-cap firms, and highlighted the work the Romanian Investor Relations Association has been carrying out to support IR practitioners in the country.
