First-of-its-kind IR benchmarking tool puts analysis at your fingertips

New IR Impact website allows investor relations teams to measure activity against peers – for free

How does your corporate access activity compare to that of your peers? What does the IR budget look like at companies across your region or at similar cap sizes? These are just some of the questions IR Impact is helping you to answer with a new, first-of-its-kind benchmarking tool.

The IR Benchmarking Tool does what it says on the tin: it lets you pitch your own IR practice against how others in your sector, cap size and region manage their IR function, with a fast and intuitive interface to make the process easy.

The tool currently allows you to measure across five key metrics:

  • IR budgets
  • Team size
  • Reporting lines
  • Sell-side analyst coverage
  • Investor meetings

‘As part of our mission to help investor relations teams increase their impact within their company, we’re pleased to have developed a benchmarking tool that is the first of its kind,’ says Gargi Iyer, chief executive of IR Impact, talking about the new tool and the launch of the new IR Impact website. ‘Pitching your metrics against our many years of global IR research, the tool provides instant, actionable data for the IR community.’

The easy-to-use tool can be accessed at the new website of IR Impact (formerly IR Magazine) for free. Simply create a My IR account, log in and you can begin comparing your own approach to that of your peers – a process that empowers IR leaders to make data-backed decisions around budget allocation, resourcing, outsourcing and objective setting.

A more in-depth understanding of trends in roadshow attendance, analyst coverage and reporting lines also gives senior IR officers fuel to encourage further involvement from management in IR activities, make the case for budget acquisition and showcase the impact of their own performance relative to peers.

The IR Benchmarking Tool from IR Impact is a natural next step, evolving from decades of in-depth research conducted by IR Magazine, covering many thousands of IR professionals and members of the investment community.

The IR Benchmarking Tool is live and available now. Try it today for free and let us know about your experience by emailing [email protected] or share your thoughts on LinkedIn.
