Mr. Stangl is the president of three dimes inc, a Calgary-based consulting firm specializing in communication, investor relations, risk management and business strategy.
From 2006 to 2017, Mr. Stangl held various roles at Crescent Point Energy, including nine years on the executive team. His most recent role there was Senior Vice President, Investor Relations and Communications. He has worked in the oil and gas industry since 1991, having held a variety of roles with companies such as Wascana Energy, Phoenix Energy Marketing Consultants, and three dimes inc.
He is a past national board member of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI), an organization he has been a member of since 2006.
Mr. Stangl holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (with honours) in economics from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Arts degree, also in economics, from the University of Western Ontario.
