Felipe de Souza is Senior Director of Treasury and Investor Relations at George Weston Limited, bringing over two decades of experience spanning all facets of the retail industry. A designated CPIR with an academic background in Finance, AI, and Analytics, Felipe led the AI journey for investor relations at Loblaw, where he leveraged AI to develop management-ready market research summaries, industry-specific profiles for peer benchmarking, and an assessment of how AI interprets and responds to corporate disclosures and earnings commentary. He has taken that experience beyond the organization, including a GreenBiz webinar on generative AI in sustainability and ESG. Felipe built his IR expertise over the past five years, underpinned by a broad finance background spanning FP&A, internal reporting, and business analytics — and has been a strong internal advocate for the responsible adoption of AI in finance, encouraging colleagues to leverage AI while navigating its risks.
