Shereen Zahawi

Shereen is currently Head of Investor Relations at MDA Space Ltd., Canada’s largest pure-play space company with 55-year flight heritage and 3,000+ talented employees. She brings a wealth of experience in capital markets having spent the last 15 years in investor relations (IR), investment management and sell-side equity research. Prior to joining MDA Space, Shereen led the investor relations function at ATS Corporation where she built up the IR function and meaningfully grew investor engagement. Prior to that she held the role of Senior Investment Analyst with the Public Equities team at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP; C$113bn pension fund), where she identified and recommended suitable investment opportunities for the Plan. Shereen also spent five years in equity research covering the Canadian industrials sector where she worked closely with investors and corporate management teams.

Shereen started her career as an Electronics Engineer; she holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration from Schulich School of Business (York University). She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Shereen lives in Toronto with her husband and two young kids.
