Scotiabank is set to create a major regional office out of Dallas, in a move that will open up over 1,000 jobs and more than $60 mn in investment. It joins other financial services bigwigs from Goldman Sachs to Nasdaq and NYSE making moves to mark their Texas territory.

Effective September 1, 2025, Senate Bills SB 29 and SB 1057 introduce sweeping changes aimed at enhancing legal predictability, reducing litigation risks, and curbing shareholder activism.
