While most investor meetings remain virtual or hybrid, getting back to in-person interaction is ‘very exciting,’ according to Benoît Ribaud, ESG IR manager at TotalEnergies.
Ribaud was speaking at the IR Magazine Awards – Europe 2022, where the French company won best IR in the energy sector.
Virtual meetings are ‘very efficient, particularly because we have a strong investor base around the world,’ he said. ‘But [they] will never, ever replace a good face-to-face relationship.’
Ribaud noted that it was great to be back on a train or plane to ‘see the investors we missed over the last couple of years’.
TotalEnergies won in the awards-by-research part of the event, where winners are chosen by a survey of investors and analysts covering European companies.
