FactSet names Alexandra van Nes as senior vice president of IR

FactSet, the financial data provider, has named Alexandra van Nes as its new senior vice president of IR.

Most recently, van Nes served as FactSet’s senior vice president and head of special projects, where she worked with third parties on front and middle-office workflows.

In prior roles at the company, she was senior director of regulatory solutions, chief of staff to CEO Phil Snow and deputy general counsel.

Van Nes originally joined FactSet in 2010, following three years as an attorney at Sikorsky Aircraft. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a law degree from Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law.

‘Ali’s breadth of experience with products, strategy and corporate functions at FactSet position her well to step into this role,’ says Linda Huber, the company’s CFO, in a statement.

‘Her knowledge of FactSet will also be helpful as we communicate our strategies and results to the investment community and other stakeholders.’

‘Elevated’ IR

Van Nes takes over from Kendra Brown, head of IR for the past two years, who will now run the company’s banking and sell-side research business unit.

‘During her tenure, Kendra elevated our investor relations strategy,’ says Huber in the statement.

‘She also meaningfully increased engagement with shareholders and analysts, including fixed-income investors as part of our inaugural debt offering.’

‘I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Linda and the executive leadership team in this role,’ adds Brown.

‘We deliberately grew our global investor and media audiences and increased our participation in conferences and industry events, raising awareness of FactSet’s investment story.’
