Silver Bay, a real estate investment trust (REIT) with more than 3,100 single-family rental homes, is bringing in Anh Huynh as director of IR.
Huynh will lead both the investor relations and financial communications program at the trust, which aims to ‘be a market-leading firm in the single-family rental industry.’
Before joining Silver Bay, Huynh – who holds a master’s of business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business – ‘served an instrumental role’ in the IR department at Two Harbors Investment Corporation.
Both Silver Bay and Two Harbors are managed by Pine River Capital Management, which has transferred a number of employees between the organizations in recent months. In September last year, July Hugen moved from Pine River to take up an IRO position at Two Harbors, while Christine Battist, formerly managing director of investor relations at Two Harbors, moved to Silver Bay to serve as CFO. David Miller, the current CEO at Silver Bay, also previously worked as managing director for business development at Two Harbors.
Huynh started her IR career in the IT sector, serving as director of investor relations at eTelecare Global Solutions, assisting in the execution of the company’s 2007 IPO. Miller welcomes her in a company press release: ‘Her exceptional abilities in investor relations as well as her experience in growing public companies will serve us well in this exciting stage of our company’s development.’
