PolyOne names Isaac DeLuca as vice president of IR

PolyOne Corporation, a global provider of polymer materials, has announced the appointment of Isaac DeLuca as vice president of planning and investor relations.

Along with serving as the principal contact for the investment community, DeLuca will also be responsible for PolyOne’s corporate financial analysis and planning functions.

He succeeds Cynthia Tomasch who, after spending just over a year in the role, has been appointed general manager of the global color, additives and inks business segment of the Ohio-based corporation.

‘I’m excited about this great opportunity at PolyOne, and I look forward to working closely with our internal finance team and business units in my new investor relations role,’ DeLuca tells IR Magazine.

DeLuca, a certified accountant, holds an MBA from Boston’s Northeastern University. Prior to joining PolyOne in 2011, he held finance and managerial positions at Pfizer and Merck & Co.

Richard Diemer, senior vice president and CFO at PolyOne, welcomes the appointment in a press statement: ‘Isaac clearly demonstrates the leadership skills, rigor and technical ability to lead the financial planning requirements of the position, and his communications skills and knowledge of the company will be well received by our investors and analysts.’

Following a restructuring in 2009, PolyOne’s revenues have grown strongly and hit $3 bn in 2012.
