People moves: Autodoc names new IR lead as $2.8 bn IPO looms

New IR names at Harrow, NANO nuclear Energy and SentinelOne

Stefanie Steiner has taken up the IR reins at Autodoc as it prepares an IPO expected to value it at $2.8 bn.

Writing on LinkedIn this week, she says: ‘I am excited to share that I will embark with #AUTODOC on the next stage of my journey. About a week ago, I joined the new team and had a very warm welcome. In such a technology-driven company I have to familiarize myself not only with business model, strategy, financials and the large market that has enormous potential in the years to come, but also with many new programs and tools. Learning never stops.’

Bookbuilding for the firm’s IPO began on June 17 and is reportedly expected to end on June 24.

‘We are delighted to have gained such a highly experienced and distinguished top executive in Stefanie Steiner, Lennart Schmidt, CFO of Autodoc, says in a statement welcoming her to the company. ‘With her deep capital market expertise and strategic foresight, she will play a crucial role in strengthening our dialogue with investors.’

Over in the US, Nasdaq-listed eyecare pharma firm Harrow has announced the appointment of Mike Biega as vice president of investor relations and communications, succeeding Jamie Webb, who recently announced her retirement.

Webb, currently director of communications and IR, will stay on at the Nashville-headquartered Harrow until August to ensure a ‘smooth transition,’ according to a company statement.

‘We are excited to welcome Mike to the Harrow family,’ says Mark Baum, company CEO. ‘His wealth of experience in investor relations and strategic communications will be a tremendous asset as we pursue our objective of becoming the leading US ophthalmic pharmaceutical company.

‘I am looking forward to seeing Mike strengthen our engagement with the investment community, communicating our vision, performance and history of long-term value creation for all Harrow stakeholders.’

An experienced biopharma IR professional, Biega most recently served as senior director, head of investor relations at Sensei Biotherapeutics. Prior to that, he was at biotech advisory firm Solebury Trout, where he worked with both public and private companies. He began his career on the sell side however, working the sales desk at Summer Street Research Partners, an institutional equity research and trading firm focused only on the healthcare sector.

Baum also took the opportunity to thank Webb for her service to the company. ‘On behalf of the entire Harrow family, I want to sincerely thank Jamie for her support, leadership, professionalism and unwavering commitment over the years. She has been a trusted partner to our leadership team and a valued voice in our communications strategy. We are thankful for her continued support during this transition and wish her all the best in her well-earned retirement.’

For his part, Biega expressed his excitement at joining the company at what he describes as an ‘exciting time in its evolution.’

‘Harrow’s commitment to delivering accessible, affordable and differentiated ophthalmic solutions resonates deeply, and I look forward to working closely with the leadership team to strengthen investor engagement and elevate the company’s story as a leading force in US eyecare,’ he says.

In a bust week for new appointments, there have also been announcements from NANO Nuclear Energy – another Nasdaq-listed company. The firm has named Matthew Barry as its new director of investor relations in a role that will see him spearhead ‘efforts to connect with and inform its growing retail and institutional investor base.’

Barry brings analyst and IR experience to his new position, with the company talking up his skills at diversifying the shareholder base at previous companies, including at Veeco, where ‘he successfully developed an in-house investor targeting program and was instrumental in attracting investment from multiple ideal long-only long-term oriented investors who initiated substantial positions in the company.’

‘I feel privileged to join this exciting company, which is not only striving to lead the advanced nuclear technology sector, but has made remarkable achievements so far, including having been the top performing initial public offering in the US in 2024,’ he says in a company statement. ‘I firmly believe in NANO Nuclear’s mission and, as we continue our progress, keeping our shareholders fully informed and aligned with our long‑term vision is essential. I’m looking forward to bringing my communications experience and my knowledge of public companies and the equity capital markets to NANO Nuclear at this pivotal time and to work with our energetic leadership team committed to delivering lasting value.’

On LinkedIn, Saad Nazir revealed that he has been promoted to the top IR role at AI-cybersecurity firm SentinelOne. He has been with the company, most recently in the director of IR role, since 2021. ‘Looking forward to engaging and partnering with our investment community at a deeper level as we continue shaping the future of AI-powered cybersecurity,’ he writes on the professional social media platform. ‘I’m deeply grateful to the leaders, mentors and teammates whose guidance and trust have been instrumental in shaping this journey.’
