The importance of the IR website is well understood – investors and analysts wouldn’t know what to do without it. But what would key users of the IR site change or tweak if they could?
Over the last year, IR Magazine polled thousands of buy-side and sell-side professionals on this very question. Below, we round up the results from the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
In the US and Europe, we asked investors and analysts to say what is missing or hard to find in their experience. In both regions, web conferences – and associated materials like transcripts – get the most mentions, followed by archive information. But many companies appear to be nailing this website thing: more than a third of respondents in both regions say they can find everything they want.
In Asia we posed a slightly different question, as many companies are still in the early stages of developing their IR websites: what do you most want to see? Again, web conferences come out top, with a breakdown of quarterly sales numbers in second place. In third place, notably, respondents cite speed rather than content, calling for faster and more frequent updates.
