Another hire for Citi’s DR team

Dennis Walsh, president-elect of NIRI’s Boston chapter, has joined the IR advisory team of Citi’s DR division.

An economics graduate of Saint Anselm College, Walsh started his career at Thomson Reuters working as a financial earnings analyst. In 2005 he joined Sharon Merrill, a communications consultancy focusing primarily on the life sciences, technology and industrial sectors, where he was most recently a vice president, based in Boston.

In 2006 Walsh was the recipient of the R Scott Higgins Memorial Scholarship, presented by NIRI’s Boston chapter. In 2013 he received NIRI’s individual leadership award.

‘I am delighted to be joining Citi’s depositary receipts IR advisory team,’ Walsh tells IR Magazine. ‘I look forward to leveraging my 10 years’ experience as a consultant developing and executing best-in-class investor relations programs to help Citi’s DR clients enhance their US investor outreach programs and achieve their long-term IR goals.’

Walsh’s appointment at Citi follows the hiring of Lisa Williams, Debenham’s former IRO, who is now heading the IR advisory team for EMEA in London.
