The Dutch IR community paid tribute last night to the CFO of Sligro Food Group, Huub van Rozendaal, who received a special lifetime award for services to investor relations at the NEVIR annual awards in Amsterdam.
Investors and analysts have regularly picked out the finance chief, who retires this year, as an expert in the art of IR, leading to a slew of awards and nominations from IR associations and others, including IR Magazine.

In a statement outlining the decision behind the award, Dutch IR association NEVIR says Van Rozendaal always makes time for the investment community, despite his many other daily responsibilities at Sligro. He scores highly in IR polls ‘year in, year out,’ the association adds.As a case in point, Van Rozendaal took home the award for best IR by a CEO (small or mid-cap) at the IR Magazine Awards – Europe 2010. He also appeared on the short list for the same gong in both 2011 and 2012.

The winning IR teams at NEVIR’s awards include ASML, Arcadis and Grontmij. Individual IR awards went to Martijn Schuttevaer of Boskalis, Arcadis’ Joost Slooten and Wessanen’s Carl Hoyer.
