The short lists for the upcoming IR Magazine Awards – Greater China 2015 are dominated by two companies that have not been nominated before: Kerry Logistics, from Hong Kong, and TCL Communication Technology Holdings, headquartered in Shenzhen, China.

With four nominations each, Delta Electronics and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company are less of a surprise. Delta has been nominated every year since 2011, winning four awards; Taiwan Semiconductor has received at least 8 nominations each year and came top in the points table, winning the grand prix for best overall IR (large-cap) last year.

The winners will be announced on December 2 at an awards ceremony held at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.

The IR Magazine Awards – Greater China 2015 are decided solely by an independent survey of investors and analysts, all of whom are located in the region.

Just as in IR Magazine’s other awards in Europe and the Americas, investors and analysts are asked to vote for the company giving them the best IR service in each awards category. This year, 401 respondents took part in the survey. The four or five companies with the most votes in each category make the short list and the company with the most votes wins the award.

Votes for the awards also determine the IR Magazine Greater China Top 30, the ranking of the best companies for IR in the region. The votes in each award category are added together and the company with the most votes is declared the top-ranked company in the area.

The latest rankings will be revealed in the IR Magazine Investor Perception Study – Asia 2015/2016, which will be published soon after the IR Magazine Awards & Conference – Greater China 2015 on December 2.
