Credicorp names new IRO

Credicorp, a leading Latin American financial services holding company listed on the NYSE and with a presence in Chile, Colombia and Bolivia, has named Milagros Cigüeñas as its new investor relations officer. 

Cigüeñas will take up her new role at the Lima, Peru-headquartered firm from August 1. 

She joined Credicorp in 2017 as efficiency and productivity manager for the company’s main subsidiary, Banco de Credito del Peru, after 13 years across financial management, investor relations and financial planning with BBVA Perú.

An MBA holder from the Wharton Business School, Cigüeñas’ appointment as IRO ‘aims to ensure the continuity and proper execution of Credicorp’s strategies,’ notes Credicorp in a statement, adding that ‘given Milagros’ excellent track record, we are confident our investors will continue to receive the best service to remain abreast of Credicorp’s results and strategy.’

Prior to joining BBVA Group, Cigüeñas also held roles as treasurer and CFO of Peruvian agricultural firm Farmex. 

Operating across four key lines of business, Credicorp offers universal banking through Banco de Credito del Peru-BCP and Banco de Credito de Bolivia, microfinance through Mibanco and Encumbr, insurance and pension funds through Grupo Pacifico and Prima AFP, and investment banking and wealth management through Credicorp Capital, Wealth Management at BCP and Atlantic Security Bank.
