John Dawson, the former chair of the UK’s IR Society, has joined RB as the company’s new head of investor relations.
Dawson joins from Statera Partners, the consultancy focused on offering board-level advice that he co-founded two years ago.
Prior to that, Dawson ran IR at some of the UK’s best-known companies, including Rolls-Royce, National Grid and Cadbury.
He also served as chair of the IR Society between 2011 and 2014 and was a board member at the association for eight years.
In a LinkedIn post, Dawson says he was keen to rejoin the corporate world and tackle problems ‘end to end’.
Dawson joins RB, the trading name of Reckitt Benckiser Group, at a time of transition for the consumer goods company, which owns brands such as Dettol, Durex and Nurofen.
Last year the company’s CEO of eight years Rakesh Kapoor stepped down and former PepsiCo executive Laxman Narasimhan took up the reins.
