Artemis Gold appoints vice president of capital markets

Nick Campbell has been appointed as vice president of capital markets for Artemis Gold, effective immediately.

Campbell’s appointment is part of a wave of new management hires and coincides with the closing of Artemis Gold’s acquisition of the Blackwater Project from New Gold. The deal closed for an initial fee of $105 mn, with further add-ons to be paid over time, according to a company release.

In his new role, Campbell is responsible for Artemis Gold’s investor communications, analyst and broker relationships and the development and execution of all other investor relations efforts.

He started his career as a mining analyst, working for both Canaccord Genuity Corp and Salman Partners for 10 years combined. He has also served as chief financial officer for Goldsource Mines and executive vice president of business development for SilverCrest Metals.

Campbell’s appointment was announced in tandem with the appointments of Ryan Todd as vice president of environment and social responsibility, and Klaus Popelka as manager of resource geology.

‘We are very pleased to add a number of talented and experienced staff to the Artemis team,’ says Steven Dean, the company’s chairman and CEO, in a statement.
