For the first time, the IR Magazine Awards – Greater China are switching to a virtual format. The event will take place on an innovative online platform and feature video interviews, real-time competitions and networking opportunities.

In total, there will be 29 awards handed out to the best IR performers in the Greater China region. These awards are split into two categories.

The awards-by-research categories are decided by a survey of hundreds of investment professionals who cover companies in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. These voters choose the winners for best overall IR, best IR professional, best IR by region and best IR by sector.

The awards-by-nomination categories allow companies to submit entries about themselves (or others), highlighting outstanding investor relations work. A panel of judges decides the short lists and winners.

The categories in this section are best annual report, best crisis management, best ESG materiality reporting, best investor event, best IR during a corporate transaction, best IR website, best use of multimedia for IR and rising star.

This year, the judging panel includes:
– Tim Human, senior reporter, IR Magazine
– Paul Milon, ESG specialist for Asia Pacific, BNP Paribas Asset Management
– William Tsang, head of research, Chartwell Capital
– Gabriel Wilson-Otto, head of stewardship for Asia Pacific, BNP Paribas Asset Management.
