Primo Water appoints Jon Kathol as vice president of investor relations

Primo Water, the water solutions company listed in New York and Toronto, has named Jon Kathol as its new vice president of investor relations.

His position is effective immediately and he reports to Jay Wells, Primo’s CFO, according to a company statement.

Kathol joins from Tyson Foods where he served as vice president of IR for nine years. Prior to that, he was a senior director at Tyson focused on pricing optimization. In total, Kathol has 25 years of experience in IR and accounting roles.

‘Jon comes to us with deep knowledge of what it takes to develop and run a sophisticated investor relations strategy and possesses an extensive network of relationships across the investor and analyst community,’ says Wells in the statement.

‘Jon has a proven track record of helping drive shareholder value through cogent messaging and Wall Street engagement campaigns, and we expect his talents to immediately contribute to Primo’s investor relations efforts.’

Primo Water provides water dispensers, bottled water delivery, refill stations and other related services. Earlier this year, Cott Corporation acquired Primo Water for $549.4 mn as part of a strategy to become a pure-play water solutions provider. Cott then renamed itself Primo Water.
