SolarWinds names new IR lead

NYSE-listed SolarWinds, a provider of IT management software, has named Tim Karaca as its new vice president of investor relations and strategic finance.

Karaca joins the company from Mynd, a company focused on the property management and real estate investment market, where he was head of strategic finance since 2021.

Karaca brings nearly 20 years of experience in the financial and technology industries to his new role.

Prior to Mynd, he held leading roles at firms including Bridgewater Associates, Wall Street firms, where he oversaw multibillion-dollar profit and loss statements, and Microsoft.

‘Tim is a proven finance leader with deep experience across the technology space and finance industry, which makes him a natural fit to lead our investor relations and financial planning and analysis organization,’ said Bart Kalsu, executive vice president and chief financial officer at SolarWinds.

‘As we execute our growth strategy focused on delivering platform-based technologies to accelerate business transformation, Tim’s experience with companies transitioning to a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model also provides considerable value.’

Karaca will lead the firm’s IR program, with a focus on financial planning and analysis, ‘serve as the primary contact for the investment community and play a leadership role in guiding data analytics and business intelligence for the company’, according to a statement announcing his appointment.

‘With a strong leadership team and a well-established global customer base in place, I look forward to further building the organization’s finance capabilities while engaging with the investor community in a meaningful way,’ said Karaca.
