IR TV: Tricon Residential on its award-winning IR program

Toronto-headquartered real estate company Tricon Residential received three award nominations for the IR Magazine Awards – Canada 2023, including best investor event (mid-cap) and best IR during a corporate transaction. At the ceremony, the company picked up the rising star prize for Charlotte Thuot Kucyi, senior IR manager at the firm.

Commenting on the drivers behind the company’s award-winning IR program, Wissam Francis, executive vice president and CFO at Tricon, said ‘community’ is a core value.
‘It stems from the best thing we [can] do for our residents and employees and how that translates to our service,’ he said at the awards ceremony.

‘IR is just an extension of everything we do within Tricon. It’s also an extension of our theme: taking care of each other, taking care of our employees, [who] in turn take care of our residents and our residents then take care of the community they reside in.’

Asked about the qualities IROs should strive for, Francis highlighted two core skills that contributed to Thuot Kucyi’s win: ‘Number one is that she is always focused on the task at hand and, more importantly, she is very detail-oriented. Number two is that she understands what the room wants to see and hear and what our investors are looking for.’
