For the past three decades, IR Magazine has honored excellence in investor relations around the world. This year, we returned to Hong Kong for the first time since the pandemic to held the IR Magazine Forum & Awards – Greater China 2023.
The event brought together almost 200 senior IR professionals for both the forum and award ceremony afterwards.
The forum brought together investors, analysts and heads of IR from across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to discuss key issues relating to investor relations, corporate governance, shareholder needs and the role of senior management in IR.
One of the speakers at the forum, Christy Liang, board secretary and chief director at ENN Natural Gas, caught up with IR Magazine after the event.
She addressed some of the biggest changes she has faced over the past few years, how best to prepare for mandatory climate-related disclosures, and revealed her own personal takeaways from the day.
‘The event has given me some ideas on how to use different artificial intelligence (AI) tools, as well as social media such as LinkedIn and Twitter to reach investors,’ she says.
‘We will try to use different technology or AI tools to reach different people. I think it’s a really new for us, but it’s great to know it’s something that we can apply in our own company.’
