Plus a new IRO in place at Canadian firm E3 Lithium and news of this week’s IR vacancies
Dutch electronics maker Philips has announced the appointment of Durga Doraisamy as its new head of investor relations, effective from April 1 2025.

She joins the company from Diageo, where she served as global head of IR for three years after joining in 2021. Prior to that, Doraisamy was part of the IR team at Starbucks and also held IR roles at Puget Sound Energy and Unisource Energy Services.
‘Durga has a proven track record of transforming and enhancing IR functions at leading global companies such as Starbucks and Diageo,’ says a Philips spokesperson in a statement.
‘With over two decades of experience in IR, robust financial acumen and her ability to foster strong, long-term relationships with the global investment community, Durga is set to bring her extensive expertise to Philips.’
Doraisamy will succeed Leandro Mazzoni, who headed up Philips’ IR team for more than five years and is taking on the role of global head of financial planning and analysis at the company.
‘[Mazzoni’s] deep understanding of the company, broad expertise from previous finance leadership roles and grounding in external dynamics and expectations make him well-equipped to support further improvement of Philips’ financial performance management,’ the company adds.
Over in Canada, E3 Lithium has brought in Rob Knowles as its new vice president, investor relations, effective from February 18.
Knowles has more than 20 years of capital markets experience, with IR roles at Husky Energy and Sunniva and sell-side research and banking positions at TD Bank and JF Mackie.
‘We are thrilled to welcome Rob to the E3 Lithium team,’ says Chris Doornbos, CEO of E3 Lithium. ‘His extensive capital markets experience and strong relationships within the investment community will be invaluable as we continue to execute our growth strategy and enhance our market presence.’
Finally, Sa Sa International’s former CFO Danny Ho has moved onto a new role as CFO at Hong Kong-listed telecommunications provider SmarTone.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Ho writes: ‘This is an incredible opportunity to join an iconic brand and contribute to its ongoing success. I look forward to reconnecting with you all in this new capacity!’
