Ryan Weispfenning, head of IR at the multiple IR Impact award-winning team at Medtronic, is taking up a new role in the team at the medical device company’s diabetes spin-off. The news comes as Ingrid Goldberg has been named as Weispfenning’s replacement, with both changes coming into effect as of December 8.

Payments companies are increasingly those which keep the world spinning. Just ask Block’s new head of IR, Matthew Ross, who joined the company in 2024 and took over running the IR team earlier this year. The NYSE-listed company – which operates point-of-sale system Square, digital wallet Cash App, buy now, pay later service Afterpay and music streaming business Tidal – has grown from strength to strength in recent years, leading to its ascension to the S&P 500 index in July 2025, replacing Hess Corporation.

US utility infrastructure services company Centuri Holdings has appointed Nate Tetlow as its new vice president of investor relations. Florent Chaix has taken up pole position in the IR team at car maker Renault, taking over as head of investor relations from outgoing chief Philippine de Schonen. Joining immediately, Chaix will work alongside de Schonen during a transition period lasting until September 12, during which time she will retain her role as director of M&A. The company adds that de Schonen is leaving the company ‘to pursue a new professional challenge’.

Brazilian airline GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (GOL) has appointed Julien Imbert as its new CFO and head of IR. In a move effective from August 4, Imbert will take over responsibility for GOL’s investor outreach and broader financial activities, the company says in a press release.
