People moves: Jörg Friedemann to step down from IR at Brazil’s Nubank

Jörg Friedemann, the head of IR and global head of ESG and market intelligence at Brazilian financial services firm Nubank, is set to step down from his role by the end of April 2025.

According to Bloomberg, Friedemann will leave his position by April 2025 ‘to pursue another opportunity’.

Before Nubank, he led financial equity research for Latin America at Citigroup and held roles at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and UBS.

No official statement has yet been made by Nubank. Friedemann was approached for comment.

Speaking to IR Impact in February 2024, Friedemann said that his favorite thing about IR at Nubank was ‘having the privilege to interact with, be challenged by and learn from brilliant minds, both inside and outside the company’.

Over in North America, Texas-based energy services and solutions company Tetra Technologies has hired Kurt Hallead as its new treasurer and vice president of investor relations.

Hallead comes with more than 30 years of experience as an equity analyst covering the energy sector, including roles at The Benchmark Company, RBC Capital Markets and Cambridge Investment Partners.

He will take on responsibility for the NYSE-listed company’s financial planning and analysis, IR and treasury functions in his new role.

Finally, Swedish digital transformation company White Pearl Technology Group (WPTG) has appointed Peter Ejemyr as its new vice president of investor relations.

Fulfilling a newly created role at the Nasdaq First North-listed company, Ejemyr comes with extensive IR experience including at Swedish firms Elekta AB and Biacore AB.
