People moves: Jutta Mikkola takes over at Stora Enso and Greer Aviv joins Cognex

Plus UK digital bank Monzo is hiring an IR team ahead of IPO

US machine vision system maker Cognex has brought in Greer Aviv as its new head of investor relations.

In a move effective from June 2, 2025, Aviv will join the Nasdaq-listed firm to serve as the ‘primary liaison between Cognex and the investment community,’ a press release states.

She joins the firm from data center provider Cyxtera Technologies, which was recently merged by its owner Brookfield with Evoque to become Centersquare, where Aviv served as senior vice president of investor relations.

Prior to that, she worked in various investor relations roles for Iron Mountain, CoreSite (now part of American Tower) and Arrow Electronics.

‘We are pleased to welcome Greer to Cognex,’ says Dennis Fehr, Cognex’s CFO. ‘Her deep expertise in financial communications and investor engagement will be key as we further advance the three CFO priorities: driving profitability, increasing capital efficiency and improving investor communication.’

‘I’m excited to join Cognex, a true pioneer in advanced machine vision,’ adds Aviv. ‘I look forward to partnering with the leadership team to deepen our engagement with the investment community and clearly communicate our long-term strategy, innovation and strong financial foundation.’

Elsewhere in the US, Joshua Kane has joined Bitcoin-driven infrastructure company Riot Platforms as its new vice president of investor relations.

Kane joins from Cipher Mining, where he served as head of relations. Prior to that, he was vice president of investor relations for New Fortress Energy and held various sell-side roles at Deutsche Bank and Citi.

In Finland, Jutta Mikkola has been promoted at renewable packaging company Stora Enso to become its new head of investor relations.

Jutta has been with Stora Enso for eight years, working across several business and finance leadership roles, most recently as vice president of investor relations.

She replaces Anna-Lena Åström, who is leaving the company to assume a different role.

‘Jutta’s strong financial background coupled with her extensive experience of Stora Enso’s business will be key in continuing to build important relationships with the investor and shareholder communities,’ says Niclas Rosenlew, Stora Enso’s CFO. ‘I also want to thank Anna-Lena for her many contributions while she has been in the role and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.’

Meanwhile, UK digital bank Monzo is hiring an investor relations team ahead of its hotly anticipated London IPO.

Monzo is currently advertising for an investor relations manager to work closely with its senior management teams and report to Soledad Nager, its newly appointed director of investor relations. Nager previously led investor relations at Uruguayan payments firm dLocal, according to her LinkedIn profile.

The manager will support ‘critical corporate finance and fundraising activities’, as well as overseeing shareholder engagement, according to the job posting.

Monzo has been working with bankers at Morgan Stanley as it prepares for a £6 bn float that is expected to happen in the first half of 2026, Sky News previously reported.
