People moves: Linda Pazin joins Solventum and Mitch Haws moves to Semtech

IR professionals also join new companies elsewhere in the US

Linda Pazin, formerly head of strategic communications at Sempra, has joined St Paul, Minnesota-based healthcare company Solventum, which was spun off from 3M in April 2024, as its new director of finance communications.

Pazin has had a long and varied career in investor relations over the past few decades, including a stint as head of technology, global listings and west coast regional leader at Nasdaq alongside IR roles at Deckers Brands and Live Nation Entertainment. She also was the founder of her own IR and strategic communications consultancy, Pazin Strategies, for four years.

Announcing her new role on LinkedIn, Pazin writes: ‘After an inspiring first couple of weeks, it’s clear that the talent across all businesses, a team of dedicated solvers, is incredible. I’m excited to dive into my role, shaping Solventum’s financial narrative and enhancing our corporate reputation as we pioneer solutions for better, smarter, safer healthcare, ultimately improving lives worldwide.

I will focus on ensuring our investors and other key stakeholders hear a clear, credible and resonant voice that reflects Solventum’s bold vision for the future of healthcare.’

Meanwhile, the Camarillo, California-based semiconductor and cloud computing company Semtech has added Mitch Haws to its IR team.

Haws joined the Nasdaq-listed company effective from 12 May and was named its new senior vice president of investor relations.

Most recently the corporate vice president of IR at fellow US tech firm Advanced Micro Devices, Haws has an ‘extensive background’ in the profession, a Semtech press release states. He also served as vice president of investor relations at Skyworks Solutions and vice president of investor relations and global communications at Freescale Semiconductor. He is a certified Investor Relations Charter holder, was honored as a NIRI fellow and currently serves on the trade group’s Board of Directors.

‘We are pleased to welcome Mitch to our executive team,’ says Hong Hou, president and CEO at Semtech, in a press release announcing the appointment. ‘Mitch brings deep expertise in capital markets, financial communications and investor engagement, and he will play a major role in advancing our dialogue with shareholders and the broader investment community.’
