Brazilian airline GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (GOL) has appointed Julien Imbert as its new CFO and head of IR.

In a move effective from August 4, Imbert will take over responsibility for GOL’s investor outreach and broader financial activities, the company says in a press release.

He joins the airline with ‘over 20 years’ of experience in the international capital markets, with a particular focus on operational efficiency programs, cost reduction, growth strategy and AI in the aviation sector.

Imbert previously spent more than 18 years with Boston Consulting Group, creating and launching the consultancy’s operations practice in Brazil and serving on its Brazil executive committee from 2022 to 2025. He also has experience in auditing and working as a flight controls engineer at Dassault Aviation in France.

In the US, real estate investment trust Gaming and Leisure Properties (GLPI) has appointed Carlo Santarelli as its new senior vice president, corporate strategy and investor relations.

Taking up what represents a brand-new role for the company, Santarelli will start his new duties from August 18 and will report to GLPI’s president and chief operating officer Brandon Moore.

The new head of IR has more than 25 years of Wall Street experience, working in various equity research and investment banking roles. Most recently, Santarelli served as managing director of gaming and lodging equity research at Deutsche Bank. Prior to that, he held similar positions at Bear Stearns, JP Morgan and Wells Fargo.

Santarelli ‘consistently ranked highly in Institutional Investor and other sell-side analyst research polls as a thought leader in the space, providing unique perspectives on industry events and trends with his data-driven approach and stock picking talent’, according to a statement published by GLPI.

‘We’ve known and respected Carlo’s research work on the gaming, lodging and gaming REIT sectors for many years,’ says GLPI’s CEO and chairman Peter Carlino. ‘Carlo brings to GLPI an in-depth knowledge of the industry and its participants, having experienced GLPI’s original formation of the gaming triple-net-REIT structure from a research analyst and capital markets perspective.’

Meanwhile, the New York and Princeton-based digital services company Coforge has appointed Manish Hemrajani as its new head of investor relations.

The company, which is listed on the National Stock Exchange of India, describes him as a ‘capital markets professional with over two decades of experience.’ His recent roles include IR, equity research and financial communications positions at Yatra Online, Oppenheimer and Co, Deloitte Consulting, Fujitsu Consulting and CIBC World Markets.

Sudhir Singh, CEO of Coforge, says: ‘Manish’s deep expertise in capital markets and investor communications will be instrumental in enhancing transparency, shaping market perception and reinforcing our long-term value creation narrative.’
