Florent Chaix has taken up pole position in the IR team at car maker Renault, taking over as head of investor relations from outgoing chief Philippine de Schonen.
Joining immediately, Chaix will work alongside de Schonen during a transition period lasting until September 12, during which time she will retain her role as director of M&A. The company adds that de Schonen is leaving the company ‘to pursue a new professional challenge’.
Chaix has over 15 years of experience in finance, starting his career in 2009 at KPMG as a consultant in audit and advisory. From 2013, he held various positions in financial communications and investor relations at Bureau Veritas, SCOR and Vallourec. He joined Renault Group in 2022 as investor relations manager.

In the US, Alison Sternberg has joined fast food retailer Shake Shack as its new head of investor relations.
She joins the NYSE-listed company from Altus Power, where she served as head of investor relations for 11 months.
Speaking on the company’s earnings call at the end of July, Melissa Calandruccio – managing director at consultancy ICR who has been working with Shake Shack for several years – said: ‘I’m very pleased to announce that Allison Sternberg has joined us as Shake Shack’s new head of investor relations.
‘Allison brings over twenty-five years of finance and investor relations expertise across multiple industries including consumer. We’re excited to have her on board and look forward to everyone getting to meet her.’
Over in Allentown, Pennsylvania, industrial gas company Air Products has brought in Megan Britt as its new vice president, investor relations, taking over from Eric Guter who is leaving the firm.
Britt brings nearly 25 years of experience, most recently serving as vice president, investor relations at Archer-Daniels Midland since 2022. Prior to that, she led the IR teams at Tyson Foods and Corteva Agriscience.
Air Products’ CFO Melissa Schaeffer says: ‘Megan’s expertise will be valuable in communicating our progress and further strengthening relationships with analysts and investors around the world.’
Finally, Wim Allegaert – who serves as chairman of the board of directors of the Belgian Investor Relations Association (BelIR) – has taken up a new role as CFO at AmphiStar.
Announcing the new position on LinkedIn, Allegaert writes: ‘I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as chief financial officer at AmphiStar! So keen to support this thriving company!
