Plus Simon Wray swoops into IR team at Air Astana
Manuel Bösing has returned to the IR team at Puma after several years working for fellow German companies tonies and Henkel.
Formerly a portfolio manager for HSBC Global Asset Management in Germany, Bösing first worked in Puma’s IR team between November 2018 and December 2020.
He left the sportswear company to take up a role as senior manager, investor relations at Henkel, before taking on the head of IR role at interactive audio toy maker tonies.
‘Returning to a company I admire feels like coming home,’ he writes on LinkedIn. ‘I’m excited to reconnect with colleagues, strengthen our dialogue with investors and analysts, and support PUMA’s journey ahead.
‘It’s a special moment for me personally and professionally, and I’m looking forward to the road ahead.’
Over in the US, tech-enabled insurance group Hippo has announced the appointment of Charles Sebaski as its new head of investor relations.
In a press release announcing the move, Hippo says that Sebaski brings more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, including over a decade as an equity research analyst covering the property and casualty. Most recently he served as managing director, head of IR at Ambac Financial Group.

In the UK, Simon Wray has taken up a new role as the head of IR at Air Astana, the London, Astana and Kazakhstan-listed air carrier.
He joins after a year as director of equities at financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald. Wray previously served as director of equities in HSBC’s sales team for 19 years.

Meanwhile in Rekjavik, Iceland, biotechnology firm Alvotech has announced the appointment of Patrik Ling as its VP investor relations for Scandinavia.
Based in Stockholm, Ling has more than 25 years of life-science industry experience, most recently serving as senior equity analyst and investment bank DNB Carnegie, where he covered life science companies, including Alvotech.
Róbert Wessman, chairman and CEO of Alvotech, cited Ling’s background in both pharmaceuticals and finance as valuable assets for broadening the company’s Scandinavian shareholder base.
Finally, automaker Volvo Cars is set to lose its head of IR John Hernander, who is leaving the Swedish company to join fund manager AMF, according to Dagens Industri.
Hernander, who has a background as an equity analyst, stated that his decision to depart was a gradual one, largely determined by the demands of weekly commuting to Gothenburg. At AMF, he will take on the role of head of international investments.
